Register Your Company in the Central Contractor Registry

To do business with the federal government, it is mandatory to register your business in CCR.  CCR is a government-maintained database of companies wanting to do business with the government.  This database is a marketing tool for businesses and a primary source for agencies to learn about prospective vendors for the government. The database provides agencies with the ability to search for companies based on their abilities, size, location, experience, ownership, etc.

CAGE Code - The Commercial And Government Entity (CAGE) Code is a five-character ID number used extensively within the Department of Defense and NASA. Vendors with a U.S. address may submit the application without a CAGE Code if they do not have one. If your application does not contain a CAGE Code, one will be assigned to you.

CCR Registration

Once your CCR registration has been successfully processed you will receive a Trading Partner Profile (TPP) letter indicating your CCR information and a separate letter with your Trading Partner Identification Number (TPIN).  Do not share the TPIN with anyone, since it is your password to update/change information in the CCR database.  If you enter all your information online correctly, and "no error messages were found", processing should take approximately 48 hours.  The CAGE code (5 alphanumeric or numeric characters), which is shown on your TPP, may be required by some agencies when submitting quotations, and in other purchase and registration related transactions. The CAGE code will also be required for other reporting and verification of qualifications. You can also check your registration information by accessing the CCR website.
